Vardakosta participates in 2015 Maritime Cabotage Festival Seabed Cleaning Event
The seabed cleaning work carried out by the Antalya Branch of the Chamber of Shipping within the scope of the 1 July Maritime and Cabotage Day events at Kaleiçi Marina was also supported by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, the Marine Police and the Vardakosta Marine Construction Company. Due to the carried out works many wastes were collected and removed from the sea. The extracted wastes were then taken to the disposal area by the municipality teams.
In the work supported by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, the Marine Police and the Vardakosta Maritime Construction company, the divers took out items such as plates, forks, teapots, toy cars, metal sculptures with broken heads, glasses, boots, pine bottles, automobile tires and brushes from the sea. The wastes were then taken to the landfill by the municipal teams.
