Aksa Marine Water Intake Structure
In the deep water intake line project, initially production and connections were made for the concrete weights to be used in the project. It started in the water intake pool with Ø1600mm PN4 Pipeline, floated for 100m on the land and 600m in the sea, was submerged as one piece and connections were completed. The water intake inlet was produced to take 10.000m³/hr and installed in the sea, then it progressed with supporting the bottoms of the pipes with hooked cushion. Support was provided to elevate the bottom of the pipe by 1.5m on the ground with the pipe center depth -20m for the sea level. Ø900 diameter maintenance shafts were produced and installed in every 200m on the line. The connection to the water intake pool on the land was made with the bottom level -3m to the sea level. Finally, as built projects were completed and delivered.
